	President Leona Wieland Leona joined the board in 2020 and currently serves as president. She is a retired elementary and pre-school educator. She’s also a Franciscan Associate and has visited the mission in San Rafael. “I am grateful for Baptismal graces that we be mediators, speakers and service-givers in Gospel ways, I thank donors to Amigos so that young women in Mexico can be educated, and thus share their God-given talents.”	Presidenta Leona Wieland Leona se unió a la junta en 2020 y actualmente se desempeña como presidenta. Ella es una educadora jubilada de primaria y preescolar. También es Franciscana Asociada y ha visitado la misión en San Rafael. “Estoy agradecida por las gracias bautismales de que seamos mediadoras, oradoras y dadoras de servicio en los caminos del Evangelio, agradezco a los donantes de Amigos para que las mujeres jóvenes en México puedan educarse y así compartir los talentos que Dios les ha dado”.
	Ex-officio Board Member Liaison to HFEM, AC Sister Carolyn Law, OSF Sister Carolyn is a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls and serves Amigos de Las Franciscanas as liaison to HFEM, AC where she serves as vice president. She previously served in Venezuela and Nicaragua as a missionary with the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls. Currently she resides in Minnesota and ministers in the healing arts. 	Treasurer Elizabeth Rydeen Liz is the director of Community Relations for the Franciscan Sisters Little Falls, Minnesota. She has visited the mission in San Rafael, Mexico, and supports the work of the Franciscan Sisters in a variety of ways.	Tesorera Elizabeth Rydeen Liz es la directora de Relaciones Comunitarias de las Hermanas Franciscanas de Little Falls, Minnesota. Ha visitado la misión en San Rafael, México, y apoya el trabajo de las Hermanas Franciscanas de diversas formas.
	Board Member Sister Doretta Meier OSF Sister Doretta is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota. Her primary ministry has been in the field of health care administration. Her educational background includes a BS in Accounting and master’s degree in Health care Administration. Sister Doretta served as a member on the Congregational Leadership team from 2006-2011. Currently, she resides in Waite Park, Minn., and is employed by the St. Cloud Public School District. She teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults and is also a substitute teacher. As a volunteer, Sister Doretta is involved in jail ministry, serves on the Diocesan Financial Council, and assists in Faith Formation for Confirmation students.	Miembro de la Junta Hermana Doretta Meier, OSF La hermana Doretta es miembro de las Hermanas Franciscanas de Little Falls, Minnesota. Su ministerio principal ha estado en el campo de la administración del cuidado de la salud. 	Board Member Joe Ruhland Joe is a master electrician and runs his own contracting business. He and his wife Marcie have four grown children and three grandchildren. They are parishioners of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake, Minn. Joe volunteered for four years for Our Little Brothers and Sisters Orphanage and the Sisters of St. Agnes mission in Nicaragua and Honduras. Joe, Marcie and a team of volunteers traveled to San Rafael in 2018 and built two homes for parishioners in need. Helping the poor has been one of his lifelong pursuits. He also enjoys fishing and hunting.	Miembro de la Junta Joe Ruhland Joe es un maestro electricista y dirige su propio negocio de contratación. Él y su esposa Marcie tienen cuatro hijos adultos y tres nietos. Son feligreses de la Iglesia Católica St. Timothy en Maple Lake, Minnesota. 	Board Member Marcie Ruhland Marcie is a medical coding specialist and works for Health Billing Systems. She volunteered for three years for Our Little Brothers and Sisters Orphanage and the Sisters of St. Agnes mission in Nicaragua. Marcie coordinated the fundraising of over $13,000 and helped build the two homes near San Rafael. At that time, Marcie and Joe learned about Casa Franciscana firsthand. Marcie also volunteers at church and Steubenville Youth Conferences. She enjoys reading, watercolor painting, and making greeting cards. They are thankful for these opportunities. God has blessed them abundantly for doing so.	Miembro de la Junta Marcie Ruhland Marcie es especialista en codificación médica y trabaja para Health Billing Systems.
